I'm speechless ~ not for the overly pious indeed.
What I appreciate the most about the English are their unfailing sense of "humour." Nothing is off the table when it comes to finding something to laugh about. Perhaps if you lived in a country where it rains all the time, you'd need to find the laughable silver lining? ha!
I might be off base here Chad (after your summer in England - please let me know) - but I've always found "PIOUS" and "ENGLISHMEN" to be an oxymoron. And thank goodness for that! :)
